At home Cupcake Wars!!!!!!

Okay so as of lately my mother and I have had a thing for making cupcakes. Yes they are oh so divine, I suppose that after watching cupcake wars and cupcake girls that we have too joined the evil side of cupcake making!!!! For my little cousins graduation my mother and I made crip cakes and I know you are wondering what exactly are crip cakes? Well, we didn't want to make a red velvet cupcake because we thought it would be girly, so we decided to make blue!!! And boy were they blue, after hearing they were pretty awesome and pretty blue...trust me...we were shittin blue cupcakes! So, for the second batch of cup cakes we made lemon flavored cupcakes with a lemon cream cheese frosting topped off with a fresh raspberry. They weren't as lemon-y as we wanted them but they were moist! So tonight we made more! lol Yes we made more lemon cup cakes, with more lemon, more yellow, and more sprinkles! So here is a picture of the cupcakes. I am going to start selling them for $1.50 each as a fundraiser so I can go back to school! So go ahead, look at the pictures of our beautiful cupcakes and let your mouth water. lol

Avocado Egg Rolls

I like cooking, it isn't something I am super duper good at like my mom but hell...I can dab a little lmao. My boyfriend hasn't complained yet. So this is a recipe I wanted to share with you for my avocado egg rolls. Here is what you will need:
1 Pack of Nasoya Egg roll wraps (you can find in walmart in the veggie section)
3(or more) Avocados, if you like em...add more!
1 Little jar of sun dried tomato's
A little cilantro
Garlic Salt season to taste
1 tablespoon Red onion minced
1 egg and you gotta beat that bad boy!
Oil for frying
So the first step is to divide your avocados and cut them diagonal and vertical (should look like an "X") set aside. Chop up your sun dried tomato's, red onion and mince the cilantro. Get a bowl, throw the avocado, sun dried tomato, and cilantro in, season to taste with the garlic salt and stir. DO NOT SMUSH, JUST STIR LOL! Get your egg and beat the mess out of it in a separate bowl. Set aside. Get the Nasoya egg roll wraps and lay it down in the shape of a diamond get a spoonful of the avocado mixture and put it in the middle of the wrap and fold the bottom angle of the wrap over the avocado mixture, dip your fingers in the egg and put it over the part you just covered. Next, you have to fold the left and right sides of the roll to the middle so you can close it up and put some more of the egg on it, not a lot just do it with your fingers (doing this step will work as a bonding agent so when it is frying it wont open up.) The last step is to roll the egg roll up towards the last open part, and do the egg step again so that you can close the egg roll. Repeat until all of  the avocado mixture is gone. Get a pot, heat up the oil and drop the egg rolls, it is best to do 2 at a time. Do not fry long, just until they are golden brown. We usually eat them with ranch, its up to you. Enjoy!

You are going to school right?????

Let me start off by saying I am not the best in the grammar department part of me cares...the other half...ehhh not so much. Anywhooser, I am doing this blog because I see all of my little cousins and friends on facebook and NOTICE SOMETHING STRANGE. LOL THEY CANT SPELL! There is no pun intended and I understand the younger generation of kids can do a whole text message with sentences like this "so lyk hw r u doin? i rly lyk awl muh frands" lol Okay, I know...I get it, this world is moving so fast with the technology. And I understand that most phones only give you 150 letters per text BUT why do the kids write their school papers as if they are writing a text? I crack the hell up!!!!! I mean i am a big goof for sometimes writing this > "!!!!!!!!!!!11111", do you see all of those 1's lol. I am a dork for that but what I am making fun of can get serious. Believe it or not, most college students write their papers as if they are texting and get bad grades because of simple mistakes. Oh well I think this whole movement of making up words is hella funny. Especially when my cousin text me the other day and said "CTFU" I was like WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!?!? Mediatakeout thought "CTFU" meant "shut the fuck up".....that is plain as daylight that they are mentally retarded. I feel like a lame when people text me these acronyms for texting...I guess I am getting older because most of the time I can't determine if people are not using spellcheck or if they are dyslexic. Yes I am laughing my ass off while I am writing this. So if you want to be a acronym texting pro go to http://www.netlingo.com/acronyms.php they have the largest list of text message acronyms!!!! LAUGHING OUT LOUD...NO REALLY I AM! :-D IM GETTIN OLD HAHAHAHA!!! You would not believe how many highlighted words there were on here after I pressed spellcheck hahaha. I am a nut! So all in all kids (that was a transition sentence ***laugh out loud***), keep going to school and pay attention to your lessons not your phones! Your parents are gonna need you to wipe their butts when they get older and you are gonna need to know how to spell when  you are looking for the depends :-)

My mom told me this today....Don't let anyone steal your joy. This blog is for all of you who have people in your life who are constantly bringing you down. Sometimes I wonder if people bring other people down for their own enjoyment, like do they get off on making you upset. Or do they just want to steal your joy by saying what they know will cut you like a knife? Either way, you have to follow your heart but doing what you love and loving who you love. Because if you don't do what makes you happy you will regret it. And to be honest I would rather find out the result on my own than to constantly be brought down with other peoples negative thoughts. I said I wanted to be a lawyer...they said be a doctor. I said I wanted to dance...they said do something practical. I still want to be a lawyer...and guess what, I still dance to my music in my parents basement. Because it makes me happy. So when people try to make you change your mind, tell you something is dumb or shoot down your dreams...you prove them wrong. Keep your head up and keep going on about your business. I always see how some people don't support small businesses shooting them down and talking negative. But what happens when that small business becomes a large business. What about that little girl who could dance but everyone tried to stop her...you cut on your TV one day and see her dancing her heart out. Or even when Jennifer Hudson was on American Idol and Simon told her she couldn't sing...as Chris Brown would say...LOOK AT HER NOW, SHE GETTIN PAPER! All in all my lovely blog readers, DO WHAT YOU WANT TO BECAUSE LIFE IS YOUR BOOK OR YOUR MOVIE AND ONLY YOU CAN DECIDE WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT! KEEP YA HEAD UP! LOVE YOU ALL!

Okay so everyone knows by now that I have a love for fashion...I could be lame and say fashion is my passion but it isn't...I like making cupcakes lol. Anywhooser, I am blogging today to inform you all that there is a new up can coming clothing line called Dai Wear. Right now it is in the beginning stages and it is up to the rest of the world to support this small clothing line to make it a huge success. I am a fan of supporting our race, normally other black people hate on black owned businesses but we have to stick together. So this is me promoting this new line. This clothing line features a number of designs cool enough to get people talkin!!!! Hopefully it will be sold on Karmaloop or in other stores so that it can be the next big brand. Dai Wear was started by Khalid Shabazz a recent high school grad, he is clearly doing what most people don't....following his dream. I aint sayin she's a gold digger...

***ATTENTION*** Before you read this just know I am not racist in any way shape or form, I am just blogging about a conversation I was recently involved in.

     I heard an interesting convo the other night. I wanted to do a blog about it because I know there are other people in the world who may have had this conversation. How its okay for white women to use men and suck them dry (money wise) <PERVERTS! BUT if an African American woman does it she is a gold digger and a hoe. what makes that right? The man of the conversation was put in a very difficult position because he babbled all about this. I am all for women being independent and having their own shit because there is nothing a man can take from you when you have your own. And I am pretty sure men think it is sexy as hell when a woman has her own. However, I have been in Atlanta for a while now and I see a lot of women using men for their money. Whether it is in a club or at the mall, she will not pay for she wants. The whole thing is, in Americas eyes when a black woman uses a man for his money, whether it is to go out to dinner or to go shopping she is automatically considered a hoe and a gold digger. Why I ask? Maybe because all you see on TV is video vixens and how men glorify women with big asses and play into buying them whatever they want. As soon as she slips up...she is being called a gold digger and a hoe. HOWEVER, when a white woman does the same exact thing it is okay? No, if anything she is a gold digger as well. I am sorry, but this is how I feel. The only difference is the white women act like they are in love with the men and possibly brainwash them. lol All I am saying is, why is it okay for a woman of another race to date a man and use him for his cash but when a black woman does it...she is a gold digger? This is confusing. It is all the same, black, white, purple, or even red there is no difference when it comes to "gold digging". In Kanye West song "Gold digger" he talks about this topic, how she may not be a gold digger but she doesn't mess with no broke dudes. Even in one point of the song he said "Now I ain't saying you're a gold digger you got needs You don't want your dude to smoke but he can't buy weed You got out to eat and he cant pay you all can't leave There's dishes in the back, he gotta roll up his sleeves But why you all washing watch him He gone make it into a Benz out of that Datson He got that ambition baby look in his eyes This week he mopping floors next week it's the fries So, stick by his side I know his dude's balling but yeah that's nice And they gone keep calling and trying But you stay right girl But when you get on he leave your ass for a white girl" I think this part is funny at the end about the white girl because although a guy may go to a white woman, she is going to do the same thing. I believe that this whole "using" thing is not the young woman's fault BUT it is the medias fault and possibly parenting. I see how there are so many video vixens who do this (white and black), and although I love Amber Rose she is lightweight doing the same thing. And I know you are wondering why I said parenting, I said it because some girls have mothers who drill it into their heads that it is okay for her to use a man and that she doesn't have to do anything. That is a major key point in this blog because there have even been TV shows about how women train their daughters to be dependant on men. THAT SUCKS!!!! Ladies, go to school and get on the right path. Don't believe all of the hype on gold digging and what you see because I am sure that most of the men who blow their money on expensive things are wanting a lil sum sum in return. Even if you watch this Kanye West video, you will see how there is only one white woman in the video. All the rest of them are black women, like the video was directed to us...this is just my opinion but I think that white women could have been in the video a little more because they use men too. I cant stand how the world is...like it is only okay for white women to use men for their money but it is a different story with black women. I think that people should take a step back and look at this as a whole picture...not just white and black. Maybe women should just go to school and graduate and show men that they do not need their money. Because again...women do rule the world. But lets not give men the upper hand...I'm pretty sure there have been plenty of women who have fallen victim to using a man and he wants something in return...that sounds like a sticky situation.
